McClendon Engineering & Analytical Services

Systems Engineering & Integration

Since its inception McClendon Engineering & Analytical Services has provided domain expertise in the area of Systems Engineering and Integration. Our corporate structure is comprised of a myriad of Systems Engineers, Scientists, and Researchers that augment several organizations and agencies across DOD and the Intelligence Community. Not only is McClendon a leader within the competitive market, but we are a proven leader in the execution of systems engineering and integration concepts, strategies, and methodologies. Though systems engineering spans a wide range of functions, disciplines, techniques, and methodologies, McClendon has over time established sound practices for the execution of these areas within the systems engineering discipline; collaborating with partners across DOD and the intelligence community to build systems that suite their needs. Our personnel also possess the technical acumen and expertise to take complex systems engineering concepts and strategies and turn them into tangible products and systems using various approaches. McClendon has a reputation as a world class leader within the systems engineering and integration discipline through the development and implementation of a manifesto that allows for more agile systems integration and deployment of turn-key systems.

Our System Engineers continue to embrace a holistic systems engineering approach. This approach is primarily focused on defining customer needs and systems functionality earlier in the development cycle, documenting unambiguous system requirements, then proceeding with system design synthesis and system validation while continuing to consider the full system lifecycle. In our Systems engineering approach, we use tools and methods to better comprehend and manage complexity in systems. Some of the tools and methods we use include: Scenario-Based Engineering, Architecture-Based Design, Modeling & Simulation, Optimization, System Dynamics, System analysis, Statistical analysis and Reliability analysis.

McClendon has a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience helping to define, build, and integrate some of the most complex systems developed within DOD and the Intelligence Community. Integration of these holistic systems are done by integrating ancillary subsystems or subcomponents (of the total system) into very large and complex system architectures using various strategies. Leveraging off of our sharp systems engineering expertise McClendon continues to use a variety of key integration methodologies as the foundation for integrating systems. These methodologies and business rhythms include: Scenario-Based Engineering, Mission scenario-centric design, vertical integration, star integration, and horizontal integration.
