Anti-Virus Software Policy
Trend Micro, McAfee and Norton Antivirus are the L-1 Biometrics Division approved antivirus software products for the TouchPrint™ Enhanced Definition 3000 Series Live Scan Systems. The customer is solely responsible for installing, maintaining, updating, and renewing their Trend Micro, McAfee and Norton Antivirus software on the TouchPrint Live Scan Systems. The customer’s proper installation, maintenance, updating and renewing of the Trend Micro, McAfee and Norton Antivirus software shall not affect L-1 Biometrics Division’s warranty on the TouchPrint Live Scan Systems or support obligations under L-1 Biometrics Division’s standard System Maintenance Agreement.
In the event that the customer’s installation, maintenance, updating, renewing and use of an antivirus software application that has not been approved by L-1 Biometrics Division results in problems with a component of the TouhcPrint Live Scan System, the terms of customer’s applicable commercial contract with L-1 Biometrics Division shall be controlling. In the event there is no applicable commercial contract between L-1 Biometrics Division and the customer, then L-1 Biometrics Division will provide the customer with a quote to provide any necessary remedial measures.
