IMPORTANT: If you have an older version 4.xx of the Fingerprint Reader Components (FRC) already installed on the PC, you will need to uninstall it BEFORE installing this version. Installing over the older version could make your fingerprint reader become unstable. This is not required if the existing version is 5.xx or higher. ***************** TABLE OF CONTENTS ***************** 1. History 2. Errata 3. Silent Install =========== 1. HISTORY =========== 5.0.2 - Fixed issues when running under Remote Desktop Protocol. - Dfr2100u2.dll: fixed issue with callback not being called correctly after capture aborted. - Default install directory now "..\Program Files\L1ID" 5.0.1 - Signed drivers for DFR2100U2, DFR500 on Vista/XP (32-bit) 5.0.0 - New Version with Vista support 4.xx - Previous version for legacy readers, no Vista support. ========== 2. ERRATA ========== - Currently, the only readers supported are: DFR200, DFR2100U2, DFR500 - No tuning during install, BioLogon users must tune the DF200 prior to use. - Citrix users should install Citrix components prior to installing the FRC. This is because the FRC installer makes changes to the Citrix configuration. If the FRC is installed post Citrix, use Control Panel Add/Remove Programs, click on Change for the Fingerprint Reader Components - and then reselect the current reader when prompted. This will repeat the FRC initialization and configure Citrix. NOTE: No DFR500 USB 1.1 support, use 4.xx version of the FRC for USB 1.1 ================== 3. SILENT INSTALL ================== To perform a silent install, open a command prompt, change directory to where the FRC installer (.msi) is located and run the following command: For the DFR500 (default): msiexec /i "Fingerprint Reader Components" /qb UILevel=3 For the DFR200: msiexec /i "Fingerprint Reader Components" /qb UILevel=3 DFR_NUMBER=2 SELECTEDRDR=DFR-200U For the DFR2100U2: msiexec /i "Fingerprint Reader Components" /qb UILevel=3 DFR_NUMBER=-1 SELECTEDRDR=DFR-2100U2 NOTE: For Windows Vista, the command prompt must be opened with "Run as administrator" for truly silent install.
